Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare to blueprint engine components
- Nature and scope of work requirements are identified and confirmed
- OH&S requirements, including individual State/Territory regulatory requirements and personal protection needs are observed throughout the work
- Procedures and information such as workshop manuals and specifications, and tooling, are sourced
- Method options are analysed and those most appropriate to the circumstances are selected and prepared
- Technical and/or calibration requirements for blueprinting are sourced and support equipment is identified and prepared
- Carry out blueprinting of components to manufacturer/component supplier specifications/ tolerances
- Correct information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Components and equipment are prepared for inspection/ measurement
- Measurements are compared against original equipment manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Components are adjusted to meet manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Blueprinting of components is achieved without causing damage to any component or system
- Blueprinting operations are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, legislation and enterprise procedures/policies
- Prepare components for use or storage
